Data Deletion Instructions

Straw Social, operated by Soracle Media, lets you delete your data at any time. This page explains how, and what happens when you do. It also serves as our data‑deletion instructions for Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and other connected platforms.

Delete data yourself in the app

You can remove data directly inside Straw Social:

• Disconnect a social account — go to Settings → Connections and disconnect the network. This revokes and deletes the access tokens we hold for that account.
• Delete a brand — deleting a brand removes its posts, schedules, uploaded media and connections.
• Delete content — individual posts and media can be deleted from the relevant brand.
• Delete your account — removing your account deletes your profile and all brands you solely own, along with their associated data.

Remove the app from Facebook / Instagram

You can also revoke Straw Social’s access from Meta’s side, which stops any further access to your Facebook or Instagram data:

• Facebook:Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites → select Straw Social → Remove.
• Instagram: Settings → Apps and Websites → Active → select Straw Social → Remove.

Request full deletion by email

To request deletion of all data we hold about you — including any data we received from Facebook or Instagram — email r.sorrell@soraclemedia.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Data deletion request”. If you are emailing about a specific connected account, please include the account name so we can locate it.

What happens next

• We confirm receipt and verify the request comes from you (the account holder).
• We delete the relevant data — including stored access tokens, uploaded media and post records — within 30 days.
• We may retain a minimal amount of information where we are legally required to (for example, basic billing records), as described in our Privacy Policy.
